Part light-hearted look at the foibles of online communication, part visual spectacle, ‘A Certain Kind of Light’ is ultimately the touching story of a chance meeting and its ensuing internet romance. Utilizing layers of multimedia and stunning pictorial trickery, this intimate comedy follows the lives of two individuals connected by their computer screens and their attempts to realize a relationship in the physical here-and-now. ‘A Certain Kind of Light’ brings a distinctly human quality to a study of the way we interact in an overwhelmingly virtual world. A tale of coffee, chemistry, and chatrooms, ‘A Certain Kind of Light’ is a sweet, at times heartbreaking, story for anyone grappling with connections of their own.
