After 5 years together and performances at over 75 events in Cornwall, Truro School of Samba is expanding.
our aim is to double the size of the band to 40 players and equal that with 40 dancers making us one of the largest samba groups in the South West.
The band rehearse weekly in Truro on a Wednesday evening from 7.30-9.00p.m
There are 3 dance classes a week to choose from in and around Truro, in addition the dancers and band meet to rehearse together on the first Wednesday of each month.
We have members from all parts of the community from secondary school age children up to some well into their 60’s. The beauty of samba is that there is a part for everyone. We are keen for people to come and try out an instrument or dance session.
So how do you join in?
Either come to a taster session on the first Wednesday of the month where you can join in with the band and or dancers. At the Old Richard Lander school site, Higher town, Truro in the Science block.
