Intensive training for 20 actors

Monday 20 – Friday 24 February 2012, Graeae’s Bradbury Studios

This opportunity is open to artists from all cultural backgrounds.

Deadline for applications: Monday 6 February, 12 noon. 

Actors will work with Tamasha’s Artistic Director, Kristine Landon-Smith to explore her unique actor-centred model; working with pre-learnt speeches, extracts from both classic and modern texts and improvisation. Kristine, who trained with Philippe Gaulier, focuses on play: how to help the actor play well at all times whether it be with improvisation or text. Kristine’s particular practice helps each actor understand what is unique to them and how to bring their own self to the stage in any role. 

This is an intensive training where actors will be working continuously from 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm.

HOW TO APPLY: 

Please note – this opportunity is open to artists from all cultural backgrounds and you do not have to be able to speak other languages.

Actors will have an interest in:

- actively pursing a career in professional theatre

- exploring an approach to acting that engages the totality of the actor: their personality, culture and background

Applications must include:

- A CV with contact details of two referees (including a headshot for actors)

- statement of interest detailing why you are interested in this particular opportunity (max. 1 side of A4)

- A completed Data Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form (see attached)
