Description
Pachamama Theatre is urgently seeking a male physical theatre performer for
their upcoming show; My Dad is Jim. The piece is based on an
autobiographical narrative, that follows a woman who is torn apart by
the death of her Dad. The piece disjoints this everyday story and
turns it on its head. The performance creates a highly physical world
in which the edges of her reality are blurred and the space between
the ridiculous and the sentimental are explored.
We are looking for a male performer who is able to work physically as
part of the ensemble. In terms of scheduling, we would like to arrange
two rehearsal periods, one in March (?) and another in May- however, these
would be scheduled to fit everyone's timetable. We will also be applying to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe 2010.
Rehearsals will take place in Exeter, Devon, however please feel free
to respond even if you are from further afield. We are able to provide
accommodation, food and expenses as well as a basic negotiable fee.
If you are interested, please send your CV and photo to
pachamamatheatre@googlemail.com
or contact Lorraine on 07515647650 to discuss.
