Fine Chisel are looking for two performers
1 male (playing age late 20s/30s)
1 female (playing age late teens)
For Development of 'It Should Be So Easy', a truly touching, and often funny, new play about donor conception.
We are looking for a flexible commitment of around 5 days between 12-28 April 2010 (could be evenings), leading to a rehearsed reading/scratch performance on 30 April. This will involve: working with writer/director Tom Spencer on the text, looking at ideas brought out of our recent research workshops, experimenting with design, and combining with James Hill's original music.
The play will tour this summer to the Edinburgh Fringe 2010, via The North Wall Arts Centre, Oxford, and The Brewery at the Tobacco Factory, Bristol ('Edinburgh or Bust').
There will be a small fee offered to performers (plus expenses), but more importantly, enthusiastic and skilled performers may be asked to play the entire summer run in Edinburgh if they are interested. Either way, this is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the development of an exciting piece of new writing.
If you are interested, or would like to know more, please send an email with your contact details (and ideally a photo) to finechisel@yahoo.co.uk
