Introduction to Arts for Health Cornwall – 28th September 2011
What does working on Arts for Health projects involve? How can you work creatively to improve health and wellbeing? How do you establish appropriate boundaries with clients? Includes an overview of practicalities including Public Liability Insurance, CRBs, health and safety, invoicing, expenses, and minimising the environmental impact of activities.
Working effectively in Arts for Health Cornwall – 26th October 2011
A more in depth look at improving your practice and project management skills, as well as advice on preparing successful applications and proposals, and also how to generate opportunities for yourself. The day will include information on applying for grants and funding.
Arts and Mental Health – 23rd November 2011
Improve your understanding of various mental health issues, the stigma surrounding them, and how these relate to creative practice. We will look at how creativity can improve mental wellbeing and address difficulties such as anxiety and depression. We will also explore how to set appropriate boundaries.
Arts and Older People – 25th January 2012
Learn how to tailor creative activities to older people in care, taking a person-centred approach to dementia and other age-related health problems.
Ideas Forum (Networking Day) – 8th February 2012
A chance for artists to explore and develop creative responses to health and social care challenges in Cornwall.
Working with Children and Families – 22nd February 2012
Learn how to deliver beneficial creative activities for children and families living in many different circumstances. Explore how you can adapt your delivery in order to be relevant to specific needs.
Outcomes Training – Planning and Evaluation – 21st March 2012
Outcomes are the changes, benefits, learning or other effects that happen as a result of your work. Measuring outcomes can help to show the effectiveness of your work. Funding bodies and commissioners are increasingly aware of the value and benefits of an outcomes focus. This training will show you how to embed this approach in your planning and evaluation.
All training days run from 10am – 4pm, include a buffet lunch and cost £32.50 for the day.
Networking Days cost £12.50 for the day and also include a buffet lunch.
