This site is a place, a hub, a way to collect information about projects and events that I'm currently performing in, creating and producing. Whether touring with dance and theatre companies, choreographing for live performances and film or leading classes and workshops, this site hopefully gives an insight into the varied scope and nature of work that I'm involved in as a performer and dance artist.
Freefall Dance was established in 2010 by dancers Emily Dobson and Grace Sellwood and delivers weekly contemporary classes from it’s base and home in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Freefall Dance offers an opportunity for individuals to train and experience high quality contemporary classes, workshops and intensives delivered with a professional, but ultimately enjoyable approach. Weekly classes are team taught; the company’s technique fuelled by using weight, momentum and fluidity through a range of sequences that are as explosive and athletic as they are gentle and intricate.
Grace and Emily also co-produce Freefall Dance Summer School (2011/12) bringing internationally working artists including Ben Wright (bgroup), Victoria Fox (Jasmine Vardimon), Annie Lok (Siobhan Davies) and James Finnemore (Hofesh Shechter) to Cornwall to deliver intensive classes in technique and creative dance practices. The summers school is ran in partnership with University College Falmouth and The Works.
