I trained at Trinity College of Music in London, and graduated with an Associate diploma and Class Music Teaching diploma in 1969. I taught music in private and comprehensive schools until 1976, when I became a full time musician in bands, recording sessions and composed for film and television. I moved to Plymouth from London in 1992, and played in hotels, restaurants and clubs, along with a healthy diary of private students. I graduated with a B.A. (Hons.) in Contemporary World Jazz, from the University of Plymouth.
I am a freelance pianist/keyboard player, composer, arranger, teacher and Musical Director. I have directed both opera and musicals and my ambition is to expand my work in the theatre.
