2011 PRODUCTION- A DAY IN THE HILLS
18th June 2pm/7pm Bishops Cleeve Tithe Barn
Cleeve Youth Theatre presents A Day in the Hills. Imaginative, energetic and touching theatre about country life in Bishops Cleeve during the 1930’-40’s; full of puppetry, music, song and dance.
10 year old Lilly is forced to spend the summer at Granny Nora’s in Bishops Cleeve. On a rainy August day they climb into the loft and blow the cobwebs off old photograph albums, letters and treasures to reveal Nora’s tales and memories of growing up in the small village nestled at the foot of the Cotswolds.
Based on the true stories of Bishops Cleeve residents, A Day in the Hills celebrates mischievous, misspent childhoods; lifelong friendship and love and the strength of good old village gossip.
