Adrian Polglase was born on the 4th August 1991 in Truro and has done several drama and dancing performances in his home county in Cornwall, UK and has attended Mount Hawke School, Richard Lander School & Truro College.
His first main performance was in the year 2002 when he performed in the Hall For Cornwall with the Duchy Opera in the production of the Magic Flute. He had a dancing part in the Fire and Water scenes as well as the paradise scene as a bird. In the same year, he also performed in Truro Cathedral in a school performance of Noah's Ark and was previously a member of Playrite Theatre Group involving him in numerous performances and concerts.
In his first years of school, Adrian was involved a dance part which took place in the Hall for Cornwall where he took part for his school in the Carrick Dance project which is held by the Carrick district every year where he danced in the Top Hats and Tails performance with some other students from Richard Lander School.
Near the end of 2005, he played a part in the big school play of 'Oliver' which took place in the sports hall of Richard Lander School (and was also to be the last performance in the old school building). He took up numerous parts although he was ill for the main auditions. This play proved to be very popular with the whole of Cornwall which was directed by Lynne Lamstrom, the head of drama at the time.
In his last year of secondary education, February 2007 Adrian performed as 'Leanato' in Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing' which was constructed as a 30 minute version to be featured in the Shakespeare's School's Festival.
Adrian featured in a professional Creative Partnerships project for the Knowledge Spa which is part of Royal Cornwall Hospital. This piece was entitled 'Blood and Faith' and was also known as the 'Stepping into Shoes Project'. This was acted out in the Knowledge Spa in early 2006 where him and his 5 other performers (all of whom were from Richard Lander School) performed again in the eden project for the launch of the new educational section.
A professional filming of the piece was carried out by Creative Partnerships in August 2007 and was distributed to training hospitals throughout the UK as a view of the hospital from both patient and doctor points of view. The piece itself was filmed in both the new Richard Lander and Royal Cornwall Hospital. He has since achieved 4 A-Levels including Drama and Theatre Studies as well as Grade 8 in Musical Theatre. After studying A-Level English Literature and Language as a FastTrack subject, Adrian is currently an undergraduate student studying English and Drama in London.
