The Theatrical Management Association (TMA) is launching a brokering service for local authorities with the intention of helping to sustain theatre provision by sharing good practice, including innovative ways of reducing costs and increasing income.

The TMA is also looking to enhance its own existing group procurement services for its Members. The TMA will be approaching key UK industry bodies for Local Government to offer their support, but would also welcome approaches from individual authorities. We are building a database of examples of:

1. Externalisation of Local Authority managed venues to Trusts and other bodies
2. Shared services/management across a number of venues
3. Other innovative approaches to cutting costs
4. Innovative approaches to increasing income
